Desert Thistle FC will embark on their 2nd annual team tour to Lusail, Qatar, where they will work in partnership with Lusail Football Academy. The 3 day tour will consist of multiple training sessions at the Lusail Training Center (Host of the 2022 World Cup), matches against local opposition, as well as a trip to Meryal Waterpark, the largest water park in the GCC.

JPL Warriors World Cup
Desert Thistle FC are excited to be joining the 2026 Warriors World Cup, the largest female football competition in the GCC. This 3 day event, which welcomes over 700 girls to Doha, Qatar for a weekend of football & friendship.

After a successful tournament with our U14 boys in 2025, Desert Thistle FC are looking forward to continuing our trajectory in 2026. Hosted in Gothenburg, Sweden, the Gothia Cup is the largest youth football tournament in the world, with over 1700 teams from 80 different nations taking part. Players will get to experience 6 days of elite competition, while also experiencing all of the cultural aspects that Gothenburg has to offer.
